Dr. Alice Tai
Dr. Tai received her Bachelor of Science degree, Magnum cum laude, and Phi Beta Kappa, from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1986. She received her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree with honors in 1990 from the University of California, San Francisco. Pursuing her interest in periodontology, she received her post-doctorate degree in Periodontics at the of the University of Washington in 1992. As a board-certified periodontist, Dr. Tai has maintained her private practice in San Ramon since 1992.
In 1998, Dr. Tai attained a truly significant achievement in her professional career by becoming a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. In 2016, Dr. Tai was inducted as a fellow of the American College of Dentists, and in 2018 Dr. Tai was inducted as a fellow of the International College of Dentists.
In addition to her private practice, Dr. Tai was on staff as a lecturer and an assistant clinical professor of Periodontics at the University of San Francisco and at the University of the Pacific.
Dr. Tai is an active member of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association and the American Academy of Periodontology. She served as the President on the Board of Directors of the Contra Costa Dental Society. Dr. Tai is currently serving as a committee member on CDA & ADA, and as Trustee-elect to CDA.
